What did your chickens do today?

BAWK BAWK BWOOOOOK omg!! they are noisy this morning. I let them out 5 mintues later 4 of them are bawking I ran out to see what on earth the comotion was about

. It was nothing NO clue why they decided to wake up the neighborhood.

my chickens spent their first night in the chicken house. when I opened the door to let them out they just stared at me.

This morning my 3 week old silkies got their first worm. Yep, all 3 got a piece of the worm while providing me with some entertainment watching them chase each other for a bite!

Mine are currently arguing over a piece of bell pepper. Watching them chase each other around while no one eats it is hilarious! Especially since there are other pieces of veggies out as well.

Do all chickens do this? haha. You would think it's the last piece of goodie on earth - they all want the piece that someone else has! I have one (and only one!)

chicken that doesn't chase the rest - she waits until everyone else goes off chasing, then attacks the abandoned pile of other goodies. Smart one, eh?!

Then there's Mr. Roo - Mr. Roo lets the chickens take the food right out of his mouth! He hardly ever seems to get his share. And he just stands there, overlooking his flock, while everyone else scrambles and chases and fights.

You're right - they are hilarious and it never ends!!

I have had my 3 hen for a week or so now and they are really getting to know me and eating out of hands and getting brave to try to push past me and escape out the door. I am working hard on the new coop and that will have a nice run attached hopefully solve the pushing past me to escape. I think I am in the pecking order and they are trying to put me on a lower end of this. hahaha

I have 2 that chase after the food and the 3rd just relaxing and waits until. she is very shy and stays back on everything. the personality differences are the best fun for me so far. Smiles

Howard. My nine week old BO roos tried to crow for the first time this morning. It sounded completely horrible. .. but a very proud moment!

Mine freaked out as I had to catch them all and treat with DE for lice (yuck), I sprayed their house so I was wearing waterproof camo gear and a mask, guess I looked like an alien... Poor Herbert had a bath, not happy!
