What do I do? I hate my bridesmaid dress

The dress is a bit busy. Maybe you should find a dress simular that you like and suggest it.

That's a hard one, if it were my sister, i would tell her right away. we just have that kind of relationship. The thought that you feel you will not be comfortable in the dress because of your body style, you may suggest having a dress that flatters you made from the same material.

Wear what she wants you to wear, or bow out of being a bridesmaid.

talk to her about slightly different styles the matchy-matchy thing is over for weddings and all of the bridesmaids are wearing different styles in the same color and fabric.

ETA: make it her idea to have different styles for different BMs, but if all else fails then you will just have to wear the dress she is your sister

I'm a guy and I know this doesn't help anything but I always thought bridesmaids were *supposed* to hate their dresses.

Smile sweetly, wear the dress and it will make a great 'you won't believe how awful my bridesmaid dress was' story --- everybody talks about terrible bridesmaid dresses and you can add your story (with pictures) to future 'awful bridesmaid dresses' conversations -- and it will be funny after a while --- wear it like a runway model -- 'strut your stuff' and have fun!

So I'm going to guess that you aren't married and your sister is marrying first? If you don't have the type of relationship where you can tell her you don't care for the dress, then just suck it up. Learn from this, remember, and be nice to your bridesmaids! Personally, I don't think that there is such a thing as a "beautiful" bridesmaid dress -- they all scream "bridesmaid". Forget about the shape of the dress. Alterations can be done to improve the fit, but, man, those flowers on the skirt are really horrible! Good luck!
