take it to be altered and remove those flowers and when the time comes tell her yours did't have any flowers on it , it came that way lol
...but really it is up to her and the tension is probably high doing it all from abroad.. i wouldn't rock the boat. just grin and wear it . and we want to see pics after wards too

Once you accept being a bridesmaid your main obligations are to buy the dress; wear the dress and a great big smile; keep your mouth shut; and then smile even bigger, and nod, when the bride ultimately says "...and what's so great about this dress is that you can wear it again...."

I dont think the dress is THAT bad. It could be tangerine orange taffeta with poofy sleeves and a crinoline slip.....look on the bright side.

Or this.....

I will honorably withdraw my gripe about the worst dress ever... the golden girls win hands down...

WOW...thats pretty bad...sorry.

As a bride to be I will tell you what my sis said to me when I showed her a picture of a bridesmaide dress I LOVED....

First off she said.."Whatever your decision is, I will stick to it because I want you to be happy on your wedding day", but...she then proceeded to point out why the dress would not look good on the other girls in the party. Never once mentioning how she felt about it. She did try to be kind.

You will never find a dress that flatters everyone, so she sheepishly suggested the same color scheme in different styles. There were some restrictions...boobs and butts could not be hanging out all over the place, plus, it really did take a huge load off my shoulders. I know I couldn't please everyone. I have final say on dress style and alterations and shoe color as well as jewlery.

Suggest something that will help her wedding, not just yourself, but ultimately its her day. Good luck

That may even beat out what I thought looked lovely on my girls at the time. It was 17 years ago and I was looking for something that went with the Marine dress blues that wasn't the typical red or royal blue. Now I look back and apologize to those that didn't complain to me at all. I know, I know they look like they are wearing drapes! Sorry, this is a pic of a pic since my scanner isn't working.
