What do people think about setting up some sort of BYC "egg swap"

I too love the idea. I've got BO's that have just started laying and BR's that haven't started yet. It will probably be next spring before I would feel comfortable that the hens and roos were old enough to make sure that all eggs were properly fertilized.

I would love to find some someone locally that has some Buff Cochins that would let me get some eggs from them. Maybe when my hens start laying regularly I can find someone to do some swapping with!!

I just got a Buff Cochin this last week from Ideal so it would be a long while til we got some eggs from her, but keep her in mind for the future.

I think I may hold off till spring 2 and try to hatch them myself first to see if it works but it will b fun to swap

yup she had her 9lbs 7 oz 20inch and very beautifull

I think the post took a little while to go on there but i am so happy she makes 10 grandbabys

I have the bator warming up and will add eggs in the mornin
