The local feed store is out of the usual vitamin-electrolyte supplement I give my birds. All they had was Durvet "high performance poultry pak" and I'm trying to figure out how much to add to the water. The instructions say:
"Automatic watering system: add teh following amounts to 2 gallons of stock solution when the proportioner is set to meter at the rate of 1 ounce per gallon. Reduced feed intake - one-4 oz. packet. Extreme conditions - two-4 oz. pakcets."
I don't have an automatic watering system. Should I be adding 1 ounce to each gallon of water?
Also, the packet says it is for growing birds. Can I give it to my adults?
Thanks!
