These are all so funny I'm laughing out loud! Thanks for sharing! I was just yesterday dreaming of the master bedroom addition to the house which would include, of course, a chicken porch! So that I can take a few short steps out to the coop to take care of them in winter, and I imagined waking up in the morning to a flock of chickens staring in and pecking at the french doors! I guess i was right!

... and.. it's a good thing I am screening in my front porch, so they can't get up and onto it and poop, since it's clear by all these funny stories that they WILL be trying to!

These were all oh-so-funny, and even had DH laughing out loud! Thanks for sharing! One of my RIR chicks had been severely pecked when she got stuck between the back of the coop and the garage and the others pecked her head & neck very badly. I kept her in the house for about 3 weeks until it had healed, and during that time she became my cuddle-chicken. She's not almost completely healed, and is living back with the other chickens. When I go out to the coop and/or run, she comes running to me as fast as she can and jumps & flies up for me to catch her or so she can land on my shoulder. I love it!

Mine were standing at my back door today wanting in I thought, So I let shirly My head hen come on in. It was a rush she jumped into the closed kitchen window than knocked all my window plants into the sink. I had to grab her from ontop of my dirty dishes with upturned plants and toss her out the back.

She is so Banned from the kitchen!!!!::|
