I call them "sections" when I refer someone to a place that might be more helpful than where they are.

Wait...so they ...the blue catagories are actually called Forums?

Chicken breeds is called the forum then
what are the two titles below it called?
The what breeder gender is this and the general breed discussion and FAQ.

Or is chicken breeds the category and the what breed in general breed are the forum in the chicken breed category?

It's my fault, I was super confused.

The "blue" ones are "Categories". They themselves don't hold any "threads".

The sections under the "Categories" are forums / sub-forums.

So, using your example:

• Chicken breeds = Category
• "What breeder gender is this" and "the general breed discussion and FAQ" = Forums
