What do you do for a living?

Funny, It was like reading my life. I home school my son. We own a nursery. I took micro tech in college and thought I could make lab slides for the rest of my life and be REALLY happy. I have been to oral surgeons, and I have substitute taught...(that isn't something I'd want to do for the rest of my life,) I like to light fires...sometimes I fight them...usually I sacrifice marshmallows to them, I make my own wine-but not beer,
I have a degree in scientific illustration, but the B.S. took a back seat to the M.R.S. degree and I became a nursery wench/grunt( ...Agriculture ISN'T the place to be right now unless you become a professor and work for the government)...I went back to school to become a vet, and fell in love with animal science and nutrition, but before I accomplished anything... I got my M.O.M. degree and I have enjoyed that the 'most-est best-est' of all time.
and now I have chickens.
I have something in common with all of you...except I try not to pierce myself. That hurts.

What a variety! DH2B and I are both IT Help Desk operators and trying very hard to start our own rental property business, 4 kids in college, one in high school and 1 in jr high! Probably going to lose my job bing on BYC at work!

I currently teach 10th grade English. I have a great schedule and great kids! I am also in school because that's the only way to get a raise. I already have a Master's +30 and am National Board Certified. The only thing left is a PhD until I can top off the pay scale. Now if I can only finish in a couple of more years....or it will cost more than it will make for me! $1,600 per class is too much!

I went to college to be a large animal vet. 5 years at SDSU and BS degrees in Animal Science & Biology. Interned for over a year at a mixed animal clinic and never did finish out my DVM. I deal and pitboss at one of the largest casinos here in MN. Its not a life or death job and its actually alot of fun too. I have my whole day free to spend at the farm and can usually get off for shows/swaps. In my spare time, I am the secretary for a fairly large pigeon/poultry club and the state rep for both silkie clubs.

I went to school and got a sociology degree and wound up as an Animal Control Officer, and DH is a Deputy Sheriff Sgt. We both love what we do!

I work in a Food Warehouse. I drive a RR forklift. It has a 6000 lb. battery. Its forks can go up to up to 30 ft. high. Monday and Tuesday night I will move meat. Wednsday night I will take full pallet orders to the dock. and Thursday I will move Taters, Onions, Tomatoes, and other dry produce.

I am a Medical Technologist(B.S.) or as we are called on the west coast a Clinical Laboratory Scientist which I think is way more descriptive than "Medical Technologist".

Work mostly in Chemistry and Toxicology. A high-stress but mostly interesting job. Job-secure which is good these days.

I do plan on getting an M.S. or M.P.H when my son is a little older.
