I hang out at home most of the time.
Raised 3 kids while doing factory work and housekeeping. Now I homeschool the youngest while MrTea works his tail off. He's a keeper.
I have a B.S. in agri business, and my associates in Floral design, worked at a nursery, produce company for 15 years, and am now going for my Food service sanitation so I can keep my current job as a chef at the local nursing home..Would love nothing more than to stay home with my 11 year old and play chicken and dog farmer all day, but that doesn't pay too many bills..
I use to be a caregiver to elderly cancer, altzheimer's or people who just couldn't stay by theriselves anymore, Now I am trying to get SSD so everyone pray that the Lord sees fit to let me get it. I just am not able to work anymore, I am just too sick.
I am a Biologics/Biotech Drug Discovery Scientist. That sounds way cooler than it is in real life, it's more like the old saying, "Every brilliant idea eventually devolves into work." Undergrad in biology & chemistry, grad in Microbiology and Chemical Engineering. And contemplating going back for my Pharmacology PhD, although that would definitely cut into my BYC time...
Semi retired Mechanical Engineer specializing in Design, maintenance etc. of nuclear power plant systems. Recently spent 14 months working on the Uranium Enrichment plant in New Mexico.
Whatever I can... but for the last decade I've been doing computer programming, website & print graphic design, advertising & marketing.. it all sorta goes hand in hand.
But I'm always working a few "side" businesses, always being creative, making things, working to round things out and peak my interests... trying to find "that" business that I'm supposed to run... still searching for my perfect niche.
I'm a secretary at an insurance office. My husband and I also own a toy business. We manufacture pulling tractor replicas. We also buy and flip houses in our spare time. And I go to school part time. Whew! With two kids I'm chronically tired!!!
I've been a carpenter since 1964 so I've bent a few nails in my lifetime. I was also a fireman and retired as a captain 19 years ago. Retirement was to boring so I started a carpentry business with one of my sons that has evolved into custom home building. However, with the current economy in Michigan we haven't built a new house in 2 years, just remodeling now.
