What do you do with leftover Eggnog?

Gargling Contests!*

*Official warning!
Gargling eggnog may lead to violent skyward eggnog eruptions as the consistency is too thick for bubbles to escape. Gargling is best undertaken only by bored teenagers in an easy-to-clean environment.

...don't ask me how I know these things.

It is really good...it's a lot like bread pudding except it has more eggs and more bread. I love making the Baked French Toast because you make it the night before and bake it the next morning. It's almost like having someone else doing the cooking.

I copied and pasted your recipe thinking that it would be an easy boy scout breakfast in the dutch oven. Especially if the milk and other ingredients were pre made and in the cooler.
it'd get all crispy around the edges...

If you add the alcohols as most recipes call for there is no need to worry about bacteria. Nothing can live in it. Nothing. For many centuries previous is why so many people drank beer and wine with meals. If the purity of the water was in doubt they drank the beer and wine because nothing could live in the alcohol to make them sick from a food born pathogen.

If your birds are clean and well cared for you don't really have to worry about problems with your eggs. The salmonella bacteria (pollorum) that lives in chickens and passes to the eggs has a far greater chance of being in infected commercial birds and not your backyard birds. Have your birds tested through your state vet. It is usually a free test. Once your flock is certified you have no reason to doubt your own eggs. I am a certified volunteer tester for the state of Virginia.

Never was any eggnog at any parties I attended a million years ago (I hate parties, really, so never went to many). And, I don't care for the taste of alcohol (except I sort of like rum raisin ice cream) so just never had the experience of mayo-nog, LOL. Accidentally chugged some bourbon when I was a kid; thought it was apple juice in a glass. Omigosh. Will never forget that!
