Dirty eggs go in a separate carton, which i use sometimes I wash them, sometime I figure the heat will kill any germs. So far it works for me. Cracked eggs are fed to the dog right away. Clean eggs are sold with in a couple of weeks or I use or freeze. No eggs are refrigerated. I had some dirty eggs that went bad after 3 months or so. Not really sure how old because the box the 8 cartons were in got out of rotation :sick I get up to 3 dz eggs a day in the spring. getting 6 a day now LOL
In the summer I store in the basement, in cartons in boxes.. it's above 80 in the kitchen on the counter, which is too warm IMHO. ..I usually have 8-12 cartons of clean eggs. Most of my egg customers seem to want eggs the beginning of the month when the retirement check comes in.

Fairly sure that is the same model that I use, but mine has a black finish on it. It's not perfect as the odd shape for eggs can sometimes get stuck in the track, resulting in a backup of eggs near the top, then potential slamming down when the backup releases. Just be mindful of this and you shouldn't have any broken eggs.

And for the original survey - I take my eggs, as they are, and put them right on the spiral on the counter. Then when I am ready to use them, I briefly soak them in water to remove the debris prior to using them.

The only time I refrigerate eggs is if I have a lightly damaged egg. And in this case, I make sure I use said egg within 24 hours. Beyond that, I will fry up the egg, shell and all, and give it back to the chickens.

We just put them into this big old wooden egg storage box which has little egg-size slots lined with felt. They stay there until we eat them or put them in boxes to give them away - we don’t refrigerate them or clean them at all really, unless there’s a big feather or bit of straw stuck to one which we just pull off.

If damaged egg: fed to dog
If dirty: I wash (warm water only) and put in fridge. For family consumption
Most are clean: they go in an egg carton on the counter. These are sold or given to neighbors with the bloom in tact. (It's how they prefer their eggs) If I have them for over 6-7 days on counter, then eggs go into fridge.
