What do you feed them?

Flock raiser is a good idea! I see that at the feed store all the time and it isn't the expensive. Is it the one that comes in the bag with pictures of....
turkeys, chickens, and other birds?
I will have to try chicken, and grapes. My netting still hasn't come so hopefully it comes before the peacocks!

I know right, I still don't understand why they will barely touch the cracked corn but will go for the whole corn. We got a feed mix for them as a treat and it is mostly cracked corn and they pick out all the other stuff and barely touch the cracked corn, but if they find a whole piece of corn in there they eat it. Sometimes they seem picky.

Mine are pretty picky....the hens mostly. The roos seem to love pretty much everything. I even get them a really nice shelled nut and fruit mix with pistascios, walnuts, almonds, peanuts, filberts, pumpkin seeds, whole and shelled sunflowers, dried cherries and raisins and they pick through all that good stuff for the peanuts and dried fruit. The males seem to like almost everything in that mix.

I've only had peas for about a year, so I hope im feeding them right. They seem happy and thriving. I also give them cooked chicken and rice with peas from time to time. They really like that but I try to only give them that maybe 4 times a year because they seem to get alittle runny on the poo end and they tend to be a bit more picky with their normal feed.

All my peahens and peacocks are about the same for being picky, although the peahens don't seem to really like eating laying mash but the peacocks just love it.

It seems like everybody feeds their peacocks chicken! I am gonna try it, it would be heathly for them. If I only feed them it every once in a while, then I could keep their runny poo under control.

Do you think it is a bad idea? Could it harm the peafowl? What would you recommend to feeed them?

I have raised peafowl for 10 years and have never giving or heard of anyone feeding there peafowl chicken. Give them dry cat food with there feed.
