What Do You Fill Your Nestboxes With??

My girls don't ever keep the nesting material in the nestboxes. Every time I place fresh material (pine shavings, straw, etc) the next day all 6 boxes are empty. Should I glue or tape the stuff down??

I use Bermuda grass hay... pretty, clean, dust free, smells good, easy to rake out.... in other words perfect!

It's what I use for litter in both my coops. In the big coop I only have to change it about once every 4 months, in the little coop (it's heavily populated

) I have to change it about once or twice a month.

shredded paper i get plenty from work. I will mix with pine chips and when its time to clean it can all go right in the compost pile to cook for the garden the next year. works really good for me.....jim
