I like knitting, it has been a long time since I have knitted something, but I decided I needed a natural fiber cap...............
So like chicken math, I have made my self 3 new caps, then found a pattern for a cowl-thought how fun then decided to design some thing similar to go with a cap, then decided to make a penguin cap for my sons gf for Christmas, then he needed one too, then the other sons, and another gf, and my bf of course and my mom too................................
Oh dear!
But, I got the girls a knitting loom so they can make their own and then I wanted to make a crocheted flower to go on the caps.
I LOVE Youtube, I have found how to do things I either never learned or a written set of instructions made no sense. And I bought a few new crochet hooks so I can make a few different flowers.
The next thing I want to learn, is to tat. My grandma in Denmark used to tat lace (not tattoos) I have her stuff and I would love to make just one small thing.
I think if you want something you can throw in a purse and do at a meeting or waiting for some one, crocheting is better. In Denmark, people would drop in for tea or coffee and suddenly all the purses were open and everyone was busy knitting something. It is a favorite memory of quiet times with my grandmother.
