What do you think of this Coop?

Okay not to hijack the thread, but everyone has a right to talk on here. When challenging someones opinion it helps to have them so you understand first hand, but researching as you've done gives you information you can share with others. I learned a ton just looking through pages by patandchickens and other members.

thanks and yeah i know i probably can talk and most people on here are really nice, but i meant that maybe i shouldnt be challenging other more experianced people when i dont even have chickens, although you're right, their can sometimes provide valuable perspective and info but still... but yes, i have also found a lot of their info helpful as well as by looking online, theres a lot of info out there, and i have actually found some pretty neat stuff, plus i may not have chickens but i know kind of a lot about animals so i guess i can share that info too but if im ever going to get chickies i think i still need to do a lot more research and learn a lot more about them, this site is useful for that as well as the rest of the web so ill keep researching, hopefully i can become as experianced as the rest of you people, eventually... thank you for your help. oh and also, yes sorry about hi jacking the thread... lol

Coops up here in OR and WA go for WAY high prices...this one is pretty reasonable for this area....

I think its a real cute coop for a very small BY flock of bantams 2-3 at most. I would go for 90$ The coops Im looking at average about 1000$ which I do NOT have the $ for that but Im dreaming and DH is a contractor!!! for 20 years!!!

My time will come and he willget sick of the white dust all over his garage eventually:-)

Bleenie - I love your mom's little coop. I would say put it for 100 OBO in the title - this will get anyone actually looking for one's attention. ALSO the OBO - will hopefully get people to make offers for it.

I've seen people sell coops that aren't half as functional and cute as this one go for big $$ than their worth - this coop looks worth 100$ easy to me. Too bad you live on the wrong coast! - I know one or two people who are looking for a small coop - and I'm waiting to be asked to build it/them. lol

Anyway good luck on the selling.

I have! I pulled part of the temp wall divider down to get better air circulation in the other half of garage where birds live:-) Its working....slowly....

Bleenie, I just looked up your ad and my suggestion would be to change the title. Getting your ad noticed on craigslist requires good marketing and with a title like "Small Chicken Coop" people will probably just skip over it. You have to either be vague enough that people will click in just out of curiosity or descriptive in a way that people think they're getting something special. It's funny how the word "small" can have negative connotations even if that's what you're looking for! "Compact coop perfect for city chickens!" says the same thing but has a different feel to it and will draw in those looking for that type of thing. For our area $125 is nothing for that coop! I've seen old, cruddy looking rabbit hutches and filthy, small coops going for that price easy! Part of it could be the time of the year too. Spring is really busy for coops as that's when a lot of people get their chicks but you should still be able to unload it. It is super cute! Good luck!

I had 2 people interested but havent heard back and another person offered $75. I told them that if i get no higher offers by the end of the week that they can have it for $75. I was considering keeping it but i am hatching more frizzles & planning to keep some hens, lol.

It would make a great broody coop though, hadn't even thoguht about it from that angle.
