About the ancona...what I have read said that they are rare? Is that true? If it is, why would Ideal put her in with my standard mixed? How do you think of yours (those of you who have them) She seems all "business" with little since of humor to me.

Mine is crazy

She does lay nice large white eggs though (after the first year), when she's laying. Now, if I could just get her to lay in the nest boxes instead of the dirt floor.

They're rare because most folk keep leghorns as their white egg layers.
