I asked for more pictures and I was hoping it could be used as a coop almost strictly for sleep only.

offer $50 and see what they say. add up cost of supplies to make similar, not including price of re-used stuff. try to give them less than what they paid. don't pay for them having fun building that.​

I really like it, too. It has great ventilation. It looks well built, too.

i think it is possible, you could make a run with wire. wood. whatever you have and attach it for more room and them even let them fre range when you are watching

if you gave easy access to the coop i would snag it if it was in good condition

That's about six square feet of floor space. The usual rule of thumb is 4 square feet per bird inside the coop, with 10 square feet per bird outside in the run. I'm not even sure four birds could squeeze together on the roost. And in that tight space, how are the birds going to jump down off the roost? Chicken wire's not predator proof, either.

Sorry, but it doesn't seem to me this will work very well as chicken housing.
