What do you use for a brooder?

Shelley, ever seen my kiddie pool brooder? It worked great and it was easy to store for when I need it next time.
ETA: A pic. The kiddie pool costs $8. The PVC pipe for the draft guard we already had. Just had to buy the PVC "L"s and "T"s, a couple of bucks.
We wrapped the PVC frame in heavy duty plastic (the kind they wrap pallets of boxes in), something else we already had.

I use a 4'x4' wooden bin that was discarded by the local orchard. I made some minor modifications. They have hundreds of these bins and give them away for free. If you live near an orchard, check into these.

Here's a pic.

I use a 140 gallon rubermaid stock tank with hardware cloth over the top. I keep it in the garage and I DON'T trust my cats. It works pretty good. I put the food and water on top of the little blue trays they give you in the hospital.

Actually, sorry to say, I don't remember. I have kept cornsnakes for years and bought the heating pads 6-7 years ago....Work great though. I also meant to mention that have it plugged into a rheostat so that I can turn the heat up and down as needed.

I think I've got it figured out (I hope!)

I was online yesterday ordering some of those wire storage cubes? The ones that are basically wire-square panels? I need some to make the guinea pigs' winter cage, since they can't stay in the yard all year! I got the bright idea that these would be great to make a brooder out of, since I'll most likely have extra coroplast leftover, and the panels can be seperated for storage. The brooders now are in the spare bedroom, so I can't have anything too big. I think

the cubes and coroplast cage will work well for the chicks too
