What do you use golf balls for?

They're used as "fake eggs" to help young layers learn that the nest is the appropriate place to lay their eggs. A lot cheaper than buying ceramic eggs, and the hens don't seem to know the difference.

They are also used when a chicken decides to eat eggs. You put the golf balls in the nests. Hopefully when the chicken starts tasting, it will find the golf balls less than desirable, and leave the eggs alone as well.
