What do you use to collect eggs?

depends on which trip to the coop.....
Morning- is the feed bucket (right after I empty it into the 3 lb. feeder) get 12-20 eggs
Noon-usually the egg basket (wire Basket I crocheted a bag insert for it) 8-12 eggs
Evening- my coat pockets- 2-4 eggs
Bedtime- my coat pockets 2-6 eggs

Mine seem to lay all day!

I use one of those 2 qt. galvanized pales with some nesting material in the bottom, like what a citronella mosquito repellant candlle comes in. Looks kinda like an ol' timey milk pale just smaller.

I have a funny little basket from Hobby Lobby that says "Happy Holidays" and has dangling candycanes. My 4 year old picked it out. We bought it in August, when the Christmas Decorating Season apparently starts. It holds the 3 to 5 eggs we get a day very well.

Sometimes I just put them in my coat pocket. I have worries, especially after reading this thread!

I use a nice wicker basket I bought for 25 cents at my mom's church garage sale, and to cushion the eggs I bought a package of Spanish moss for $1 at the Dollar store. When I just go out there to visit and find an egg or two, I sometimes just use my hands, or the pocket of my apron.

My husband. He loves it. He walks excitedly thru the front doorway each day, announcing the number of eggs as if he just layed the eggs himself (giggling). Big fun. He uses his pockets and the feed bucket.. (having a light bulb moment... ) Hey! A basket would make a great Christmas present. Sweet. Thanks guys. Yahooo!

We love our seven lady buff orpingtons and our roo, Beef Jerky. xox

Pocket egg carrier... I can't stand it when I get distracted by the phone or nieghbor and accidently break them in my pocket.... I really should get an egg carrying "device"
