What do YOU use to collect your eggs?

Ditto. Or, if you're even more forgetful (like me,) you toss your coat into the dryer after you go out to shovel and forget you had eggs in them thar pockets.... Yeah, that was fun.

Ha ha ha- boy dehydrated eggs on demand, sorry couldn't help but laugh

. That will be such a disaster for me since sometimes I have 6-7 eggs in my jacket pockets.

I usually just just carry them in my hands, or pockets, or sometimes I'll let my 3 year old carry a couple in his hands. He always asks if there's a baby chicken in there, but I tell him no, we don't have a daddy chicken. He likes that I trust him to carry them and he's only ever broken one. He wanted to see what happened when he tapped 2 together, and he found out really quick. We only have 6 hens, so collecting is easy.

I have a small flock of 7 layers (with more to come soon) but I rarely get a chance to collect because my kids zoom out the door the minute they hear the "egg song." So basically, I use my kids to collect eggs!

love the depth on that. I bet there is less rolling around. I used to use a cloth bag but then one of my kids took it off a chair and dropped it on the ground. Also I will never use a hoodie again. That was really hard to clean up.

I "use" my 10 year old and 7 year old boys ;) We all use our hands and pockets because we don't remember to use the basket...
