What do YOU use to collect your eggs?

I use my hubby, grandkids, and this handled basket

I think with Easter coming up I might just pick up a cute, small basket or two. With only 4 birds I'll never need a big basket but I really don't want to learn about the joys of pocket omelets firsthand either.

This is what we keep them in however my children run out first thing in the morning and collect the eggs and bring them in. Never gets old!

I found a collapsible egg basket at a junk shop a few years ago and liked it so much that I decided to try to find another. Imagine my surprise when I discovered my basket was made in France right after WWII and was gold "coated" (probably means gold washed rather than plated)! I have found this basket to be mighty useful because it can be manipulated into endless shapes to increase/decrease capacity. Also the gold coating means that I never have issues with rust or corrosion. I don't have any photos of mine but here is one listed on Etsy:

Wow that is really beautiful. I'd want to have it just to display!

Easy! My beautiful little granddaughter! We've been out of state for a few days and came home today to this note -

We use a wire basket, and Katiebug knows the routine well. :loveShe's been this reliable as our chicken sitter since she was 8 years old. She's 11 now.

When I collect hatching eggs I try to find a box or bucket and line it with hay or towels, otherwise it's whatever I can get my hands on.
