I'm bored so I decided to make a list of what people want added and how many people want it, * is for every person who wants it

Stuff for members
The ability to post photos directly from your computer, and not having to upload. *******

If we could have a small upgrade once we have passed 1000 posts or 5000**

Adding a "Friends List"********

maybe something to label us as male or female on the forums? ***

what about a "ticker" I have seen these on some sites...
you plug in a date and it counts down...*

Would really like to be able to EMAIL uploaded photos.**

a way to block unwanted people from filling up your PM box.**

One step to delete PM's from the list ....*

How about a feedback profile like on Ebay.*

It would be nice if we could upload multiple pictures rather then just one picture at a time.*

Being able to add HTML script to your signatures, and or posts. *

I'd love to be able to cut and paste photos easier.*

how about a feature that you can look up all the other turkey owners, duck owners etc at the same time*

I would like a "username change" button.*

I'd love to see a response area below pages that members create, so that we can improve our contributions and respond to the posters**

I thought WOW what if we could find a retired Veterinarian with poultry experience that wouldn't mind helping out with FAQ's, or maybe to have a topic called the Emergency Room, or Trauma central, this would be a great addition***

maybe break this section up into 3 or 4 parts with an EMERGENCIES only section with warnings and the like to be descriptive and if it is not a true emergency the thread would be moved to another section of these subcategories.*

you guys should make a new forum for Vegetarians/Vegans!*

How about a Rainbow Bridge Forum where members can post their "RIP" threads.**

A gardening section related to chickens.**

Link it would be nice to have a sticky at the top of the BST - where someone could add links to all members etsy stores*

Section for Prayer request or Something like that.*

Also, how about a separate breed forum (Brahamas only) or "type" forum (ie: Oriental Games) in the overall Breed Forum*

Breed Clubs example * Serama* *Cochin* Silikie* *Polish* you know one for every breed....Where people can say that they have that breed........*

What about a directory for the Meat Birds section that lists butchers and processors all across the US? *

i think it should be made possible to comment on the pic of the week.*

Can we separate the unanswered post section? So that Buy/Sell/Trade is separate, it would make it so much easier to answer unanswered posts then.*


I'm not sure if this has been requested elsewhere, but I'd like to see a section about Broodies under the Incubating and Hatching Forum.*

I'm trying to collect a list of natural remedies for diseases and other problems in the flock. It would be nice to start a sticky for that. I suppose even a general list of medicines available at farm stores matched with the disease or problem would be of great interest.**

How about a section for user made Runs in the Learning Center? *

can we not put the personal section in that link or maybe have a separate link where it is recent posts on ONLY CHICKEN topics.**

I would like the search to return the page of the find rather than the entire thread. *

One should be able to go to "emergencies...." and see ALL of the unanswered threads.*

in the main section i think we should have a special care section for the curtain breeds that has to have that special care to keep them looking tip top shape*

I don't know if anyone has touched on it yet or if it is possible, but maybe somehow help get Amber Alerts out when needed?*

I'm not sure if this has been suggested or not. It would make it a lot easier to answer "unanswered post", if there was an "unanswered post" link under each sub category! Sorry Cats Critters for adding more to the growing list !

Wow Cats Critters, great job!!! Fortunately we've got most of those on our list too!

We obviously can't make promises to what will be added when, but fortunately we'll be around for a really long time and are always making improvements to the site!!

Can I just say one thing - there is no way you're ever going to be able to post pictures here without 'uploading' them somewhere, unless you're going to maintain your own PC as a picture server, never shutting it off, up 24/7.

There are so many ways you can host your photos, there are photo sharing sites out there, BYC has photo storage (somewhat limited, but good enough for quite a few properly resized photos), or I'll bet many of you don't realize that your ISP no doubt gives you a certain amount of webspace to host a small page for yourself - you could upload your photos there. Comcast does, all the major ISPs do. It's wasted space if you're not using it! Check the home page of your internet service provider and see if there isn't storage associated with your account. Then you can upload your photos there and link to them in any forum on the internet (it's where I host all of my photos and keep my smileys

)

would you be able to add something to the add post area when a new person is not logged in. Maybe say something like "register to post" or something so its just not a yellow flashing button. might help getting more to join.

I realize this probably can't happen for safety reasons, but it would be really helpful if the junior members of the forum were identified. I realize it likely shouldn't make a difference, but I'd kinda like to know when the poster is a child so I could respond at the appropriate level.
Dunno... maybe it's just me. There are just times that I read someone's post and think "Huh. What an odd reaction." and then I realize the poster is a young 'un.

I never know where to post my questions or comments about my broodies. I find threads concerning broodies and broody behavior started in half a dozen different places fm incubating & hatching, raising baby chicks, flock management, to chicken behavior & egg laying. How about a broody thread/section ? '
