What do you want for Christmas?

I want good weather for Christmas, so I can finish my coop remodel, and enjoy the cool fall/winter air with a warm cup of coffee, surrounded by happy kids and fluffy butts playing in the yard.

They asked that very question at work. They are going to do a Christmas party and gifts. I am not against Christmas at all so please do not read it that way.
My family stopped doing the gifts several years ago. I had been laid off just before Christmas that year. Now we are in a position to do for others a bit.
I put in the wish box for the company to do a food drive for the food bank or other organization.
Having spent the holiday without the ability to do a Christmas dinner that year made us think more about the people around us that are in the same boat.
If everyone gave just a little no one would be hungry.
We are doing what we are calling "A can a day". Every day we put aside food for the food bank and try to do more at the holidays.

ooooh. For me? Dropping hints all over about a Ruger 22 rifle with a nice scope. It's the only thing I can shoot right now with this bum shoulder. The Nagant kicks too much, lost half the feeling in my hand just shooting once. Such a girlie! I also want some ridiculously warm flannel pajama pants and top for tall little me and that new spading thingie I just saw in the magazine.

"Somebody" to fix the leaky wall again, so I can take over that room as my LadyLair.

In my family, we try to make Christmas mostly about the kids.
My sisters and I are in our mid-20's now and I have a neice and nephew.
My parents still want to get us girls gifts for Christmas so asked what we wanted.
I gave my mother a small list of things I want/need and told her to pick what she wanted to get me.
I asked for a new camera, tools and a Kindle.
I honestly don't like getting gifts for Christmas. I'd rather buy them for others, which makes me glad I finally have a neice, nephew and 2 (soon-to-be) step kids

I'm going to spoil them!

I would love to get a cast iron pan already seasoned.Aldi's has some on sale this week.Would love to get the 6x8 green house from harbor freight. If my missing phone turned up I would be so darn happy I would pass on getting anything. I hate losing things. Some lotto tickets might be nice. You never know!!!!

If you lived closer.. I could give you that christmas gift. As it is I'm gonna be a couple thousand miles off for another 4-6 weeks.

How very kind! We are ok just nothing extra...I have always kept a stocked pantry so it just looks bare. We are used to having others shop our pantry.

Thanks Boyd.

We bought a house last summer, which, I think, will be our Christmas present for the next 30 years!

Really, though, everything I personally want comes from the hardware store. Between all the gardening I want to do in the spring that begins with sodbusting and the chicken coop plans, a home store gift card would be perfect. That, and maybe an industrial size bottle of Advil...
