Mine isn't much, but I've gotten into the habit of letting my son get a Hot Wheels car everytime we go to Wal-Mart, which is sometimes 2-3 times a week depending on how good I've been at remembering. Like I said, it's not much, but if you figure 6-8 cars a month @ 12 months a year, you're talking up to $100 a year just on Hot Wheels cars! Sometimes I let him get 2 if he's been really good that week or something, so I'd say it's probably pretty close to $100 a year. And that doesn't count the stuff he gets for his birthday and Christmas, that's just 'everyday' toys.

Then of course I smoke....'nuff said about that

I waste my money on tea cups and tea sets.

That's right, I'm a tea cup obsessive collector

. Always on eBay looking for more tea cups, antiques, specially the ones from England. I don't need them, and I get very cheap when it come to so many other things that are needed and practical in the household, but when I find a tea cup that I really love I loose the value of money and I buy it. Also I'm an consignment store addict. I just love looking for things that have a history, or things that I can convert into something else.
Hmmmm....I wonder if this is that middle age crisis for women who past 35?!
The good part is that I have a VERY patient husband that I love VERY much

and a little girl who doesn’t understand all this yet and gets very spoiled.

Where abouts in Scotland are you going.

We are going to be there for two weeks so we are just hiring a car and touring around!

Arianna,

I have recently started adding to my china collections. My Great-great Aunt just passed ( 94 years old) she had some beautiful Lefton China Hertitage Green and I am slowly finding and picking up the pieces she didn't have. I also have a nice couple sets of Japan hand painted tea cups and saucers.

For us, we try to do a modest/medium priced family vacation each year (2000 for 5 people). This year we are paying for it with our tax return. NICE!! Other than that i spend a little on the chickens. I am also getting into woodworking. So far this year I made two matching Cedar nightstands for the Master Bedroom (cost 100 total). A cubby storage area for the Homeschool room (about 200 dollars) and a Fabric covered Headboard (about 150). I also have plans to make a kids PlayStand but it uses mostly scraps from other projects and will cost about 20.

My DH has started spending his own money on guns.

To help with this issue DH and I have an allowance. We both get 50 bucks a month to spend however we like. So if he wants a 200 gun, he has to save up for it. Same with me.

Dh says the pets are wasteful. I guess I waste money by shopping at the resale stores.I shouldn't buy books, but at 25 cents each I can't help myself. I also buy more seeds than I plant each year.A few times a year I take the kids out to eat. This week I even treated them to fast food to take our minds off the cold house.
