If I am working with the chickens, then I wear some old sneakers, but if I am just feeding, I don't have to go in but to the door, so whatever I have on.
rubber chore boots - i have a pair i leave at each door going outside so i can just pop them on/off and not have to look for them.
of course i do have to tip them upside down before i put them on because of the surprises i find in them sometimes!!
Chore boots.
that I can hose off before they get set out on the porch.
I have a pair at each door.No shoes, boots
in the house. sox only.and if you visit and need a pair there are always clean ones in the sock basket at the door. and a few pairs
of new ones hid at the bottom.
for company..

I have been looking for these for ages...but not the shoe kind shown here i want the one that comes just above and ankle like say a hiking boot would
i seen them once at Canadian Tire (just a Canadian hardware store similar to home depot or lowes but they dont sell lumber) I said to myself ooo there they are \\i was a little short cash that week and i went to go back the next week and they were gone
I know most people might find it gross or unhygenic or whatever but I go barefoot just about everywhere in or out of the chicken coops. Feet are easy to clean, cost nothing and the dogs can't steal them off the doorstep. If I get a cut on my foot then I'll put some shoes on but if not then it's no shoes for me.
