My barn shoes are a pair of Justin Ropers. I've got two good pairs (for things like the Livestock Show) and a pair of nasty ones for working at home.

Wally world imitation crocs, my birkies (which are now delegated to home use only.... wore my work shoes once, took me an hour to wash off the mud, it was raining. So now I keep crocs right by the door, work shoes are in the car for easy changes! My DH even bought himself a pair of sandals to wear. This from a man who said "I will do all the construction on the coop, do repairs BUT I WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE FOR THE CHICKENS". He helps me feed them everyday, or he does it by himself! He is the greatest DH ever!

Now I can vouch for them...got them, wore them, nice strong rubber keeps the mud and muck on the outside, while the feet stay dry and warm on the inside. Two thumbs up - they work for me.

Dog chewed Danskos (I'm just not throwing out expensive shoes just because one side is mostly missing), Wellie type boots or mudshoes. All outside shoes stay at front door. That's the rule.
