Maybe it's a learning process for them. I've been feeding them a handful of scratch just about every day for weeks now. Yesterday they finally acted a little more excited and today they gobbled it down.
Or maybe it's some cosmic link with with the act of posting. It seems anytime I post about my animals, even something they have "always done" ... They pretty quickly make a liar out of me. I can just see a little station they have set up under the barn, maybe, with equipment to monitor my posts.

Well then, my chickens NEVER lay in the coop, my goats give almost no milk and always kick when I'm milking, my rabbits have tiny litters, and none of my birds put themselves into the coop at night.
Let's see if that one works!
