What do your kids call your mother?

When my mom and dad were still living, the three kids I had at the time, would call my mother "Grammy Gator" and my dad was "Poppy Gator". You see, my dad graduated from the University of Florida, he was an attorney. Go Gators!!

I sure miss my parents, wish they were here to see all their grand kids.

My family is grandma & grandpa <firstname>, my MIL wants to be Nana (says she's too young to be a grandma, never mind one grandson is already in highschool) and poppa. Great Grandma is "grandma with the chop-chop chickens" the name Mr Saddi gave her when he was little.

My Mother wanted to be Grannie. and my Father said he want's to be Sir. as someone needs to show Him some respect ...lol

My Father gets Pa Pa Sir. from my kids.

Well My nephew couldn't say Grannie and it came out Naggy ...lol
and my Father gets Grumpy instead of Grandpa.
From the same Nephew. LMAO

We will all Call my father Grumpy now, when he is not in a good mood.
Or My kids will say Sir. Grumpy ...lol

But what ever is said it is with LOVE!

My kids call their Gramma's Gramma Mary or Gramma Bonnie depending on who is there. Sometimes G'ma if they are writing or texting

That was because when my kids were born some of my grandparents were still living and it was confusing - they were the Gramma's. Since my kids were the first Grandkids for both mine and my husbands parents they set the trend.

My mother in law suggested she be referred to as "grandmother" But I never called her "Mother" as she suggested because I have a Mom and my Mother in Law has always been cold and aloof towards me - So I called her by her first name and my 2 children picked up on that and I added Gramma to her first name.

Then when my Mother in Law got her 5th grandchild ( from her daughter) but that kid's other Gramma was also named Bonnie - Well my mother in law was already called Gramma Bonnie by 4 kids so the other Gramma went by Nanna Bonnie which fits her as she is warm, sweet and very loving. My mother in law is kind of a prickly person - She grows on you after 18 or so years....lol.

My mom's name is Bonnie and she insisted she was too young to be called grandma so my kids call her Bonbon! Now all of her little neices/nephews/great neices/nephews/stepgrandchildren all call her Bonbon.

My kids were blessed to have 5 grandmothers living at one time so it was hard to keep them all straight but dd could remember the names of their dogs so this was her 4 yr old solution....

My grandmother is "Tucker's Grandma"
DH's mom is 'Chewy's Grandma"
ExDH's mother was 'Lucky's Grandma"

My mom is Nana
DH's grandma is Grandma Jenkins

She just calls them all grandma when shes there with them. But in referencing them, she using the dogs names. Gotta appreciate her creativity!

My daughter, the first born, sort of gave my parents and my grandma, their names. My parents wanted to be called Grandmommy and Grandpoppy, but my daughter couldnt get that quite right when she first learned to talk. She called them Ma-Mommy and Pa-Poppy and instead of Grandma, she called her Da (not sure how she came up with that). We lived with them at the time, so the names stuck, since she said them all the time.

DH's parents were always Grandmom and Granddad.

I called my great grandm(grandpas side)-Big momma(everyone in the family called her that)

My mom thought she was to young to be called grandmom as well, so she wanted to be called Mom-Mom and my dad chose to be Pop-Pop because that is what he called his grandfather.

MIL is Grandmom and my FIL was Popsie (RIP)
