What do your kids call your mother?

My mom is Grandma, MIL is Nana. I called my mother's mother Mamma with the first 'a' sounding like the 'a' in apple.
Now, grandfathers are more unique in DH's family. He dad is called Beanie by the grandkids (family joke gone bad! But it stuck) and FIL's father was Gra-gra. My dad is just Papa.

No kids but,
My grandmothers were granny. Two of my great grandmothers were Mamaw and one was Nanny. I never new anything about the other one.

My cousins and I call my maternal grandmother, Grandma Mongonk (Mun-gunk). When one of my cousins was 2 my grandma was reading her a book with a monkey in it. Grandma therefore was making monkey noises. My cousin tried to say monkey, but instead said mongonk. My sister and I always called her Grandma. So, one trip to her house (about when that cousin was 6) we put the two together and ever since she has been known as Grandma Mongonk. Sometimes we just call her Mongonk though.

All the kids call my mother mamgu (pronounced mam-gee - g like goat) which is Welsh for grandma.

My grandmother's grandmother was known to one and all as Gam because that's what my grandmother called her when she was little and it stuck.

When they were little it was "mamam" but now they are teens and twenties, they call her "The Old Bat" or Bat, for short.

She gives them bat bites when she sees them and we made up return address labels for her with little bats on them!

My son just wrote to her from boot camp the other day and actually addressed the envelope to The Old Bat, plus her address. It was delivered!

I'm wondering who got a chuckle over THAT little item at the post office!
