What does it sound like when the yougin's start to try to crow????

Most of mine started with an "ERRRRrrrrrrrr-*gasp of air*".

Only had one tiny little 2 month old leghorn rooster with a giant comb all the sudden stand up and belch out a full cock-a-doodle-do it's first time... and that is out of a TON of roosters over the past decade or so... he was a mean sucker. He never made it past 4 months.... so never developed a deep crow, just a squeaky high pitched one.

So glad I read this! The other day I heard a really low pitched sound from one of my 8 week olds. I wasn't able to see who made the sound, but wondered if this was an attempt to crow or cluck.

I'm gonna give YouTube a check and see if I can find something to listen to ... but it sure seems to have sounded like what you were saying. LOL
