What does vaulted mean?

I hear the term vaulted used for silkies. I would really like to know what it means. Thanks

The vault is the 'bubble' on the top of the skull that gives the crested breeds their 'top-hat'. Silkies, Polish, Sultans, Houdans, and a few other breeds have them.

this chick has a vaulted skull.

this chick has a smaller vault, the chick next to it does not have a vaulted skull, it is a turken and shouldn't
