Most breeds of dogs I like. There are, though, a few breeds on that list I would not consider owning:
Pomeranians
Poodles
Rottweilers

Poms look like matted balls of fur to me.

I've known quite a few poodles and I never could figure out who was stranger, the person or the dog.

Rottweilers just look scary to me, like they're waiting for an excuse to rip your face off.

I love my two Golden Cocker spaniel dogs Cooper and Lola

I don’t dislike any breed.

I can agree.
The breed was bred for fighting. It's like the gamecock of dogs. Owner doesn't matter, breed is meant to be aggressive.
Well that's not very fair. I have a purebred pit bull who doesn't have a mean bone in her body. My chihuahua on the other hand, is the meanest little mutt. That little stinker is 100% anger.

Dogs, like any other animal, vary a lot one from the other even within breed. I grew up with a chihuahua (and a boxer) and that tiny dog was very sweet.

I also had a pit bull for a brief period of time and he was the same as yours...not a mean bone anywhere.

The only point I was making is that Pits were bred for fighting. That is all.

Like gamefowl, who are bred to fight, there are still nice individuals.

Pit Bulls. Violent and aggressive.

No, it’s not just the trainer.

Yes, there are some lovable and kind pits.

I can agree.

This debate is raging in my neighborhood after a pit bull got through the fence around his yard and mauled and killed another neighbor's dog as she was walking him on a leash. She's a small woman so she just had to stand there in fear for her own life watching it happen.

I had a neighbor some years ago who had 2. His dogs used to fling themselves at the fence when I was walking my infant grandson in a stroller. Scared me to death but it was right across the street so I couldn't leave my property and avoid them.

Here's the result of a 13 year study of dog bite fatalities:

And here's more detailed information if anyone is interested.https://www.dogsbite.org/reports/13-years-us-dog-bite-fatalities-2005-2017-dogsbite.pdf

Keep in mind these dogs were bred to kill bears and bulls many, many times their size and they are not through attacking while their prey continues to defend itself, hence the fatalities.

Poodles are amazing dogs, bred to be water retrievers. You are most likely to see well bred and well trained standard poodles and mini (or Moyen) poodles than well bred and well trained toys, but I know a bunch of great toys too. I compete against some great dogs in obedience and agility, and a friend of mine who trains service dogs to be glucose alert dogs for diabetics has trained several standard poodles and they are amazing.
