What DONT your chickens like

I haven't found anything mine won't eat!!!

They fly all over me when I feed the dogs. I had to change feeding time to after dark, so my dogs could eat their own food.

Mine don't like lettuce, cabbage or spaghetti.

Everything else I've ever given them they eat. Their favorite is cherry tomatoes and watermelon.

Mine don't always eat a new food the first time. But if I keep offering, they eat pretty much anything.

The only exception so far is raw carrot peelings. I've tried about 4 times now and they ignore them. The do like cooked carrots though. Especially in spaghetti sauce (we put a lot of carrots in our spaghetti).

so far the only thing I found they dont like is watermelon..

They absolutely love cold mashed potatoes from the fridge .. I never seen anything like it.. they devoured them..

My girls will eat anything except peppers and eggplant. They especially love ripe tomatoes and watermellon, they even eat the rind. They ate my whole veggie garden to the ground, even the green tomatoes, then dug up the roots of everything that was stripped. Just to make sure it couldn't come back! They are now confined to a diffrent space, I have learned my lesson and they now await everything I give them. Anyone know why yolks would be darker in some eggs when they all eat the same stuff?

Well, ours seem to love -all- the food scraps and spoiled leftovers that we give them. They finish them all up except the *banana peels *onion skins *corncobs *citrus skins. We clean those out of the run once in a while.

My pet chicken apparently likes icecream! The other day Coconut was sitting on my shoulder while we watched a movie, and when I was handed a bowl of icecream, she stretched out her neck and started gobbling it out of the bowl. Don't know how she knew that it was even food!

My babies are VERY suspicious - takes them a while to even try something new - They didn't go NEAR the spaghetti a week ago! They thought I was trying to poison them with the apple!

I'll try those again at a later date - they did however stalk up to the watermelon and one brave soul took a little peck at it and then all hell broke lose!

I haven't found anything they don't like yet. As other people have said, they're sometimes suspicious the first time I give them something, but it doesn't take long...

I think they like RED food best of all -- watermelon, tomato, strawberries....
