What duck breed should I get?

Hi, We have two pekin ducklings, but can't keep any males because of our hens, so we want a couple more ducks so they'll have friends just in case we ever have to get rid of a drake. We want ducks that can be pets( we have 25 acres with two ponds so active pets) and are easy to obtain. Does anyone have recommendations for what breeds we should get?

I really liked my Cayuga ducks, they were so pretty in the sun. They shimmered purples and green in the right lighting. They were fairly friendly, they'd eat out of my hands but they didn't like to be held or petted, they'd run away.

personality is 100% how you raise them, not by what breed they are. i have pekin, khaki, and rouen and they all act like little puppies even though khaki are apparently a “skittish” breed

X2, I absolutely love my runners. The best thing about them is the way they stand, and the variation of colors. My duck “Daisy” LOVES being snuggled as well.

Thank you all so much for your responses, I now have duck fever and want as many duck breeds as possible but we settled on the adorable Indian runner duck! I love this community!
