What Easter Egger Color is this? How can I make a similar color?

My gosh! Such a gorgeous color, I'm glad its a true color too. Would crossing these with leghorns or welsummers give a similar result in a blue or splash with red?
Probably not. Wheaten isn't a gene you can cross to get.
Even the wheatens I've owned that were pure are difficult to perfect. The odd thing is the females are actually a cream color.
Mine in the back. (Ignore the d'Anvers)

So you think this girl I have was a result from two EEs breeding?
Yes.

Hello!
Last summer I had the opportunity to buy a few chicks from my local Wilco farm store. 2 were Easter Eggers (gosh I love this breed).

So, I'm very curious on what color she is? I find blue/gold or copper colors to be top notch! If I could replicate the color, I would in a heart beat! Unfortunately, my current rooster is a Light Brahma so this might be a future project for me when I get an EE roo or something.

But that's just it! What color Rooster or hens get this awesome color??? Completely Blue EE (or Ameracauna) Roos or hens and cross it with your typical brown layer? (Like welsummer or brown leg horn?) I would love to learn about color genetics some more and what breeds does one typically cross with Ameracaunas to get such gorgeous EEs?

We need more Blue Copper EEs! (With awesome fuzzy beards!!!!)
I hatched a rooster last year with the same color - blue with a little red. He was a cross between a purebred Blue Andalusian and a silver (white and black) non-purebred Ameracauna that also had a few red feathers. The pullet I got from the same cross was blue with black tips on her feathers - absolutely stunning!

Anyway this is the blue rooster I ended up with and his daddy is the white/black/red.

What a gorgeous rooster! I'm a little unfamiliar with the Andalusian breed, but even seeing the potential a blue Ameracauna has is stunning. I know blue isn't a true color but can still show up. How pretty. Thanks so much for sharing!

Wheaten is actually under all red colors, but it is also quite recessive.
I'm still newish to colors and genetics in that sense. I completely forgot about the wheaten color type. All I know is that blue isn't a true color and cant get it consistently. I'm not even sure of all the making types and color possibilities.
