I found BYC because I have to rehome my chickens when I go to college. When I found this website, I was hooked, I didn't know that there are other people that thought of chickens as pets and everyone is so nice, so I'm staying, even when my chickens are rehomed in 4 years.

(Also I know that you shouldn't get animals until you think about where you will be in a few more years but my parents came home with them in the middle of the night and they are now my responsibility.)

I found it because i looked up the symptoms that one of my chicks had and a similar question came up.

I Googled, "what is the best coop design for pasture raised chickens" I clicked on the link but left the page shortly after. a few days later I searched "chicken breeds" thats when I realized this was a forum for chickens, I was hooked.

I found it by looking up medications for my chickens when they got sick.

I was searching for "Red Top Chickens" and found the hatchery mentioned in a thread here.

But, looking at my first post here on BYC, I can assume that’s what I was looking for. I was a noob and my chicks were 3 weeks old. I asked when chicks can go outside. Not out to the coop, but going outside period.
