What exactly does a detached air cell look like?

Cool!! Glad I'm not alone! Loved that job wish I could get back into it but don't live anywhere near any kind of packing facility

I know there are a few in Dallas but.... don't want to move...

vyshtia - thanks for the pic, that helped a lot!!! One of my detached cell eggs is a thicker EE egg so I had a very hard time figuring it out. What I did was shine the light from the side and look for a reflection off the edge of the bubble as it moved since I couldn't actually see the air moving!

Another member told me to set the eggs but do not turn the egg turner on for the first 3 days. Sometimes, the air cell will go back to it's original position.

It wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

I had one with a fairly large air cell....... It made it to day 18 but died between day 18-21.

Good luck on your hatch.

Have a big sign on the bator that says don't turn until Sunday! I had read that somewhere too just can't remember where. I picked up and old 1975 chicken book for hubby a few weeks ago and may have read it in there, or on here, or somewhere else... Too much info, not enough foot note room in the brain

Thanks!!
