What exactly is a ispenc tavuk?

Hello so i just got a pair of bantams that they said were ispenc tavuks. I love their look but i was not sure what exactly they are since when i search them up they basically translate to booted bantams which has all different looks to them combs, feet, colour, ect.

So what exactly do i have here? Mine have both feathered feet and beards

I am not really sure about these. Everything that comes up through a google search is in foreign languages I can't read. But they definitely do look like some type of booted bantam, but don't fit exactly with the types I know. D'Anvers should have clean legs. D'Uccles should have single combs. I'm thinking yours are maybe a rarer variety of them local to Turkey, which I believe is the origin of the name Ispenc Tavuks.

Thanks! That was exactly what i thought, first i thought they were d’uccles but they seem to have single combs while d’anver have clean legs. Same experience when i search them up, they are in a foreign language

I found this thread looking for info on Ispenç chickens I see this is a very old thread but I will be getting some fertile eggs of Ispenç in july and looking forward to mixed them with my mixed bantam flock. Tavuk means chicken in Turkish.
Do you still have yours are they gentle and easy to handle.

hey. I'm a Turkish person. I can translate you the personality/things to lookout for of one according to Turkish sources ;

. because of their big wings and small bodies, they can easily jump and fly to spots, that's why it's teccomended to keep them in closed areas.
kens are known for being friendly, temperamental and calm.
- Roosters have an active and aggressive temperament
- If you feed them since they are chicks and care too much, they will be like a child in advance..
not very resistant though

Thanks for your information, yes I will take care of them and all my current flock (Silkies, Sebright and Pekin and some mixed) get on well I just hope the chicks of Ispenç will adapt well.
