WHAT FRUIT/VEGGIE/GRAIN IS *NOT* SAFE TO FEED

Hi all...one question...what should I *NOT * feed my hens...I would appreciate your input/knowledge...thank you all

avocados, potatoes, citrus fruits, too much salt

Chickens can't 'stinker' (as in 'exude gas') so should not be fed beans. (Yes, this sounds funny, but it's true.)
Avocadoes are another food to avoid. Not sure why.

Hmm. My understanding has been that occasional oranges are good for chickens' immune system. My chickens LOOOOOVE them and I haven't noticed problems. Maybe they haven't eaten enough at a time to experience difficulty?? Texas Star, where did you hear that citrus might be detrimental?

I have heard avacado, beans, potato peels, chocolate and rhubarb leaves especially. Very toxic!

Oooooh boy I just gave my Chickie a bunch (about 10) of beans. She seemed to like them. I hope she doesnt get a tummy ache.
