i’ve got an only hatchling so i cannot compare behaviors to other chicks but this is georgie, 7 weeks today. he came from a green egg labeled mystery so he’s an easter egger but i’m wondering if anyone has insight as to what he may be crossed with or what feather coloring and pattern he’s got? also i’m pretty sure it’s a boy (of course too soon for sure) but if anyone can add their opinions on what they think i’d so appreciate that too!! :)

agree with BC, but just for fun (and to see if I get it right) with the comb size I'm going to guess cockerel?
lol yes i’ve been told he has big legs too. weirdly i hope it’s a cockerel, what other chance will i have to raise a single boy alone while i’m working and going to school from home so he’s such a sweet one from spending time together. :) hopefully that doesn’t change after maturity 🤪

Is he living inside with you, and living alone as a single bird? That's unhealthy for both you and the chicken if so. Chickens are flock animals and need companions.
he has a brooder but i put down a poo comforter to play when he’s out. he was the only chick that hatched successfully and i was unable to find chicks locally (still can’t) and couldn’t commit to getting 8+ live chicks shipped
i have pullets coming in spring and my neighbors free range girls are at my house daily, they stayed in our coop last night actually but there’s almost 6 inches of snow on the ground so i don’t believe he would enjoy that. but if you have any advice for what to do until i’m able to get him companions / let him be outside with the neighbors girls do let me know.

I'm gonna bet he's a cockerel. Parentage is basically impossible to guess without a group of breeds to select from. Like others have said theres no standard or varieties for EE's but white/grey leakage would be fine, it looks a little like columbian patterning but not entirely so ehh? Can't wait to see what he looks like, and make sure like tohers have said to get him some friends!!
