What gender is this duck??

Are you positive that the father is a Muscovy ? Bird does not look like a mule to me.
Our only black and white duck is a muscovy, our two groups of ducks (the pekin/muscovy group and the khaki group) never mingled. Only the pekins and our muscovy mingled together. So theres no way oreo is mixed with anything else.

I should say was. Not is. Elvis had to be put down along with all the adult pekins we had, sadly. We didnt like elvis at first, but he grew on all of us.

Before oreo lost the voice, they actually sounded female so I wasnt sure. Dad didnt have the curly feather either XD our pekin males (at least one of them) of the same age (brothers) have the curly tail already to :p

In my experience mules have never quacked even as ducklings - they have had Muscovy like voices. Pekins crossed on wild type birds generally produce black bibbed birds.

Theire arent any wild ducks in my area, plus they werent allowed to free range at the time.

Oreo is actually white bibbed XD
