What good is animal control...

This is the first time that it attacked her directly, the last time it knocked her down by jumping at her back as she was going into the geese's pen. Until now, it wasn't attacking her, but it also was not afraid of her. What's even worse is that the cat has cubs, so she is teaching her babies to also not be afraid.

She did say that animal control finally set a trap for it, but I would be surprised if they get it with just one trap.

She really has no choice, it's either go 'around' the bobcat or let her geese starve since the cat apparently lies in wait for her to open the geese's pen to feed them.

Some one who is stupid enough to protect her birds. I go with the stupid lady. I'd be stupid enough to get in the way of a bob and my birds too. And as soon as I got the ok, i'd shoot the sucker.

Don't be so rude. Have some grace. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything.

Not really, I mean considering this woman was trying to take the bobcat's (WILD ANIMAL) meal.

I would attack someone too, if they tried to take my food away, but then I've always been a little food aggressive- I am a big girl ya know

Umm, if you are a wild animal with such behavior, you might be rabid.

Attacking a human is abnormal behavior for a bobcat. They're shy creatures and very few people get to see one and usually it's only a glimpse. One attacking a human, especially during the day (which I'm assuming because one doesn't feed their geese at night), is highly abnormal behavior and should be taken into consideration.

Is it possible its not afraid because its somebodies pet that got turned loose or escaped? I know they are popular pets with some people who turn them loose when they get aggressive or too expensive to feed.

I would be cocerned more of it having rabies than anything else. If I can see it it can cease breathing ( country boys can survive). Tell her to walk out there next time with a shotgun

All she did is say what a lot of us are thinking, and Shelley explained it.

Shelley - does she have a hose? Most cats I know HATE water.
