What Happened To My Motivation?!? Does this happen to anyone else?

As for the shed/coop, we are trying to close it off completely from the shed so we still have a couple cuts left of plywood, and then making an inner screen door and hanging up the chicken wire... then part two will be cutting out a door - rigging it with a pulley system (we've got that hardware and rope already) and then building another run. Blaaaaah. I should be more excited but this is the project that never ends. Even more frustrating is all of the stopping and starting we're having to do... DH is an officer and his schedule is wacky... so the next time we can work on the coop will probably be Monday and Tuesday of next week.

...and then we're moving my kid brother... and of course there is that other BIG swap I want to go to next Saturday.

I need to be cloned.

Edited to include: Our weather has definitely been wacky. For the past month we've been drenched in rain, chilly temps, then sun and really warm temps, then back to rain, then sun, then cold, then rain, then HOT... it's a wonder we're not all sicker than I don't know what.

Without caffeine I would have no personality at all (David Letterman)

I invented the "Rule of 5". It is a joke but it works. When I hang up clothes I must hang up a minimum of 5 garments out of the washer, if I grab 6 then I must go to 10 etc...same with the dishwasher, planting, all sorts of things. I try to tell my florange it is very complicated and he would never understand it. Sometimes I add new chapters in the imaginary book I am writing about it.

I also take medication for depression and I take my pill in the morning with a cup of coffee waiting for both caffeine and uptake chemicals to kick in. I tell everyone they should be on medication- I am much much more active and pleasant to be around. Life is too short to suffer from anxiety or sadness.

Funny (not ha ha) you should mention meds but I was on an anxiety medication (best thing that ever happened to my sanity and perhaps my marriage), but that caused a HUGE increase in weight. So I begrudgingly asked my doc to take me off. Now that I'm off it's been slow going. Lucky for me my anxiety for the most part stays in check, but I have my moments.

I love the rule of five! I read once about someone who could never get the motivation to mop her kitchen floor. So she was asked, can you mop five tiles? Well, of course she could do five. But by the time she had her water ready and those five tiles were mopped the rest was easy!

It is getting started that is hard, so the rule of five really is a good idea.

hang in and take things one day at a time. be honest with yourself when you prioritize. get some sunshine, take a few moments out of the day to just look around and listen to spring.

We all Im sure ,have been there. to much rain not enough sunny days ,get started out side then rain again and you can only clean inside so much so
My dust bunnies are put into cages ,for the rest of the month LOL
and today the sun is out I had my caffine kick and out the door Iwas tending to my chx. now its my time for me to do what ever..
so here i sit until I need to finish the wash.. that is if i want to finish LOL hang in there this too shall pass.

Thanks warm fuzzies!!! I can't wait to tell my florange I have a follower! I have a lot of fun with it. When my family is together and we are doing something (lately we've been cleaning out my late Grandparents house), I tell them real seriously to remember the rule of five, then add something like especially the highlighted section in chapter 7. There are a lot of moans and groans about it but I think they've come to expect me to bring it up. It is also entertaining to start out conversations with, "Now all of us here are familiar with the rule of 5"...also, "Hey, let's all use that rule of 5".

I've gained weight on my antidepressant but realistically I think it is because my florange (this is an invented word- read my page if you need to) takes me out to dinner all the time and buys me chocolate. He is a Horrible person as you can imagine.
