My 10th grade science teacher always told us "Think long, you think wrong". She always said that if we were having trouble coming up with an answer on a test or anything. That has been my motto thru life. Stick with what you first thought, cuz if you think it over too much you will end up with the wrong decision.
My principal in grade school would correct the kids: Don't say "I can't"--say "I haven't learned how to yet". She would make the kid repeat what they had said, changing it to her version. I have sort of come up with my own version of this or maybe someone told me: "You can't change the past, but you can change your future."
My mom always said when we were kids: "If they don't like the way you look, they can look somewhere else." I like this one-too many people are too focused on looks instead of looking deeper at what's inside.
Can't believe no one's said this but appropriate for the times... "If you can't afford to pay for it with cash...you can't afford it."
Necessity is the mother of invention.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
And something I said to my sister after a failed suicide attempt, don't know where I heard it though. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem!Which I followed up with "Friends come and go but sisters are there for you forever!"
