If someone did it as a random act of kindness... well a few things come to mind...

In the past few years there has been a lot of food related issues... as in BAD food.. look at Maple Leaf foods they recalled 3X because of listeria
and all the dog foods being recalled

you would think even with all the automation in the production of our foods the computer would pick up the fact that this 1 box weighs a little to much and kick it off the line.

Now think outside of the box if you will ...pardon the pun

"what if" it was a test?... what weight can we get away with adding to a box before it will trigger the sensors?

(I love a good conspiracy..lol)

ETA: I hope they washed their hands and the paper was clean

My brothers spent one summer working for a local canning company. Ritters has since gone out of business but had been a pretty big company. Ketchup, baked beans, and apples were just a few things that they canned.

Ya'll know that where you've got a lot of produce in storage there is a good chance of some kind of critter getting there (especially with doors opening and closing as truckloads of new produce come in) My brothers described to me the mice and rats that were in there that would occassionaly get caught in the slicer-dicers. Plus snakes that came in to eat the rats and mice.

And this didn't include the "droppings" that made it into the mix.

Don't ask about Campbell's Tomato Soup................
