What, if anything, would you do?

I ordered some quail eggs from a seller on eBay and they arrived today. They were packaged well and arrived mostly intact (the auction was for 25+, I received 30 with one cracked). The seller packaged them in the little 10-egg plastic cartons, so there were three of those, each one wrapped in bubble wrap and taped securely. The problem is that two of them were put into the box in such a way that they were pointy end up. The third was pointy end down. I know some of it would depend on how the box was oriented during shipping but no matter which way it was oriented SOME of the eggs were facing the wrong way.

I now have them resting in the correct position but....what do you think the chances for these eggs are?

I would imagine that boxes are shipped in all sorts of directions, it seems unlikely that they are right side up the whole time. I would let them rest in the correct position for 12-24 hours and incubate them. I would be they are none the worse for wear.

Okay, thanks guys. To clarify, there was never any doubt I was going to incubate them. I guess when asking if there was anything you would do, I meant regarding the seller. Should I just let him/her know (the feedback score was 100% but based on very few actual feedbacks so is a relatively inexperienced shipper), or would it be reasonable to ask for replacement eggs at some kind of discount? I know the usual feeling is that once the eggs are shipped the seller is no longer responsible for the outcome but shipping 1/3 of them big end up and 2/3 of them pointy end up is clearly something that *was* in the seller's control.

I Would Send Them A Message Politely Informing Them Of The Incident So Hopefully They Can Take Steps To Prevent It Happening In The Future To Other Customers... This Will Help Them Maintain Good Ebay Scores Overall In The Long Run
