What if you get a roo?

Well my neighbors doesn't get bothered by roosters, Idk if they just don't hear them or they just don't care :p I would only keep one rooster, and that's what I have right now. But if one of my chicks turn out to be another rooster then I have two choices:
Give em to my grandpa who will eat him :hit
Or TRY to find someone who wants a rooster.

I will always try my best to try to find someone who wants a rooster but if not... :(:(:(:(:(:( then he'll be dinner

I can't have roos where I live, and made Darn sure I didn't get one, by paying extra for started pullets. I'd love to start with cute tiny chicks, but I won't take the risk of getting a cockerel. Way too many people around here have just gone ahead and gotten straight run, and unwanted roos are abundant. Now I see ads all over begging for pet homes for their darling babies. Have a plan for your cockerels, or don't get them. Don't try to hide them. I can here someones roo crowing in the morning when I let my girls out. I don't want to see the rules change around here, because of complaints caused by some jerk that thinks rules don't apply to them.

When I found out one of mine was a boy, I started taking him with me on a leash and told people he was up for adoption. Wasn't hard to find people interested, I was stopped every minute. Most people wanted him because he was a cool looking pet though, so don't totally recommend because I would want him to have a long lasting loving home. I ended up keeping him and he is a very handsome little silkie roo. I think one of my chicks is also a roo, but I think I'm going to keep him too. If I end up having to get rid of them I plan to contact farms or craigslist, or of course this website :).

With the higher chance of one being a Roo, is the main reason I decided to go with sex link chicks. Not that I couldn't have a Roo, just my choice not to have one.
I would never keep a Roo in town. When we did live in town, the people behind us had a Roo, which is a No No. The acessive barking dogs (2 other houses) was bad enough without throwing a Roo in the mix. They got rid of him, but not before another neighbor called animal control. They were given 3 days to get rid of him, then they would get fined all chickens removed.
