Oh I agree that's how new breeds are created, I just hope they don't market them as booted oegb. Muffed and tasselled oegb I'm ok with, because the original breed did come in muffed, muff tasselled, tasselled, hen feathered, and even hen-feathered-muffed-tasseled versions. Unfortunately these subvarieties have been lost overtme mostly. But the ancestors of the oegb were never booted, and no breed in the game classification has been. So to me it makes no sense to make a booted oegb. I've no problem with people experimenting, just like I said I hope they don't get marketed as oegb.

k.....I'm off my soapbox now.

back to the original thread. I stated I believe her to be a straightcomb because I noticed when I raised the oegb's that many pullets would have an almost nonexistant comb (similar to what is found in some sebrights) until they began to lay.

thanks! she is a pretty LITTLE thing. thinking of dying her pink.... hahahahahahahha (to those who saw my other post)

She's adorable!!! Such beautiful coloring! She's not part cochin, too lean and too tight. She definitely has an OE look to her, maybe there's some d'Uccle or Silkie in there. I have an OE x Silkie mutt, and she looks kinda like that except mine's a fatty and she has a crest and walnut comb.

She reminds me of my Golden neck D'Uccle hen.
I had one that had a smooth face even though she was supposed to be purebred. Could it be a D'Uccle mix? she is a beauty!
