What in the heck is this? (graphic pic)

    I went out to get eggs this afternoon and found this in the nest box....It broke open fairly easily,
    Is this a tumor? What the heck is it?

    I couldn't tell which one of my hens it might have come out of. They seem fine.

    No idea what that is... looks like a huge meat spot that didn't get covered in a shell. Might want to put "graphic pic" in your title too just in case.

    Hope it's nothing bad for your hens.
